Punxsutawney 1, DuBois Central Catholic 0 – Punxsy’s Nevin Day pitched a one-hitter while striking out four Cardinal batters, and Parker Stahlman drove in the lone Chucks’ run

*The DuBois at Philipsburg-Osceola and Brookville at Cranberry games were postponed due to the weather

Punxsutawney 14, DuBois Central Catholic 7 – Punxsy’s offense was powered by four home runs

Brookville 11, Keystone 4 – Both Julie Greeley and Megan McKinney drove in three runs to lead the Lady Raiders’ scoring attack

Penn State DuBois Baseball and Softball:

The Penn State DuBois baseball team has put together a 10-game win streak. Next on the schedule for Penn State DuBois is a home double-header on Wednesday with LaRoche College. The Penn State DuBois softball team is hosting Penn Highlands Community College for a double-header on Wednesday.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

Make it two straight wins for the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Bucs doubled up on St. Louis at PNC Park last night, 8-4. This evening, the Bucs face the Cardinals again. It’s a 6:40 game. Listen for the Pirates pregame show at 6:15 tonight on Connect FM.

 

Altoona Curve:

The Altoona Curve will start a six-game series in Akron tonight. The first pitch of tonight’s game is scheduled for 6:35.

 

Pittsburgh Penguins:

The Pittsburgh Penguins will try again against Chicago tonight at PPG Paints Arena. The Pens lost to the Hawks in Chicago on Sunday. Listen for the Pens-Blackhawks pregame show at 6:30pm, and the opening face-off at 7 this evening … on Sunny 106.
