SIGEL – A Sigel man is behind bars after he allegedly attempted to strangle a woman earlier in the week.
According to police, on March 24th State Police received reports of a domestic dispute at a Oakdale Road residence in Eldred Township.
Once on scene police learned that 38 year-old Andrew Steele had gotten into an argument with the victim where the then allegedly grabbed her by the throat, picked her up, and threw her on the bed.
He was then taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail where he faces felony strangulation and simple assault charges.
