Penn State DuBois Basketball:
The Penn State DuBois basketball teams had mixed results in the quarterfinals of the PSUAC playoffs Monday. Penn State DuBois men knocked off Penn State Beaver 80-72. The men’s team advances to the semifinal round and will take on Penn State Greater Allegheny on Wednesday. The Penn State DuBois women’s team fell Monday to Penn State Beaver by a score of 71-65. The Penn State DuBois women finish the season with a 12-5 conference record, and 14-10 overall.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ spring training game scheduled with Philadelphia yesterday was rained out. Today, the Bucs are scheduled to play Atlanta in Bradenton. This afternoon’s first pitch is scheduled for 1:05.
Pittsburgh Penguins:
The struggling Pittsburgh Penguins have lost two straight games since returning to the ice following the 4 Nations Tournament break. Tonight, the Pens are across the state to play the Philadelphia Flyers. The pregame show starts at 6:30. The Pens-Philly opening faceoff is scheduled for 7 tonight on Connect FM and Sunny 106.
