District 9 Basketball:
BOYS (Wednesday)
The Brookville, Punxsutawney, Clearfield, and Curwensville games were all postponed or cancelled due to the wintry weather.
GIRLS (Wednesday)
Games involving Brockway, Brookville, Punxsutawney, Clearfield, and Elk County Catholic were either cancelled or postponed due to the weather.
Penn State DuBois Basketball:
It was a split on the road for the Penn State DuBois basketball teams last night at Penn State Greater Allegeny. Penn State DuBois women notched a 94-47 win, but the men’s team fell by a score of 94-88. Saturday, both Penn State DuBois teams are scheduled to host Penn State Shenango.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
There is Spring Training activity for the Pittsburgh Pirates in Bradenton, Florida. The Bucs are preparing for their first spring training game which is set for Saturday, February 22nd.
Pittsburgh Penguins:
The Pittsburgh Penguins and the rest of the NHL are in the midst of a long break as the “4 Nations Face-Off Tournament” continues for the next week. The Pens are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, February 22nd.
