PHILIPSBURG – An illegal immigrant who is being detained in Clearfield County at the Moshannon Valley Processing Center was on the loose for about an hour and a-half last week.
GEO Group staff and State Police report that the unnamed person escaped and ran from the facility around 8:30 pm last Tuesday. The detainee was located and apprehended two miles away, and was returned to the facility by 10pm.
The Moshannon Valley Processing Center near Philipsburg is currently contracted with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to house and detain illegal immigrants.
