
HARRISBURG – Approximately $16 million worth of illegal drugs were taken off the streets of Pennsylvania the first three months of 2023.
The Pennsylvania State Police report that between January 1st and March 31st, a total of 229 pounds of cocaine, 129 pounds of methhamphetamines, 24 pounds of fentanyl, and more than 1,500 pounds of processed marijuana were seized by troopers.
During that same time period, State Police say more than 1,300 pounds of prescription medications were collected as part of its Prescription Drug Take-back Program.
