Grampian man injured in rear-end crash

Jay Township, PA – A Grampian man was seriously injured when he rear-ended another vehicle in Elk County.

43-year-old Joshua Palmer had been driving his Hyundai Elantra along Bennetts Valley Highway in Jay Township around 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 15.

A Toyota Tacoma driven by 74-year-old Edward Benevich from Weedville had stopped on the road to make a left turn, and Palmer ended up striking the vehicle from behind.

Benevich had been wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

Palmer was not wearing a seat belt and was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois with serious injuries. He’s being charged with following too closely.
