Four injured, including toddler, in Elk County crash

Fox Township, PA – Two teenagers, a 20-year-old man, and a toddler were all injured in a crash in Elk County in which police say the driver was going too fast around a curve.

19-year-old Riley Glatt from Kersey had been driving her Chevy Cobalt on Byrnedale Road in Fox Township on Thursday evening.

While going too fast around a curve, she lost control. The car hit a tree stump and rolled onto its passenger side.

The passengers include 19-year-old Carla Swope from Ridgway, 20-year-old Arista Schmitt from Saint Marys, and a 2-year-old girl from Ridgway.

All of them had been wearing seatbelts, and the toddler was in a forward facing child safety seat.

All four were taken to Saint Marys Hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
