BROOKVILLE – Following her preliminary hearing last week, a Jefferson County woman is facing multiple charges related to reckless child endangerment.

According to court documents, 33-year-old Christina Snyder of Reynoldsville was charged after two young, preschool aged children were found playing outside near a roadway in Winslow Township earlier this year. State Police say the 2-year-old and 4-year-old children were not wearing shoes or coats, and the temperature was reportedly 37 degrees. When troopers entered the residence, Snyder was allegedly found unconscious on a couch. Court documents also indicate that Snyder admitted to authorities that she would test positive for various drugs including cocaine and methamphetamine.

Investigators also described the home’s condition as “deplorable” with garbage and debris covering the floors and stairs.

The two children were taken into protective custody at the time of the incident, and they were later released to Jefferson County Children and Youth Services.
