PUNXSUTAWNEY – A Punxsutawney woman is facing trespass charges after allegedly going to a Walmart that she was banned from.
According to State Police, they received a call on August 5th stating that 35-year-old Amanda Edwards, who is banned from Walmart, was seen on video surveillance entering the establishment.
Surveillance showed that she entered the store, shopped around, used the self checkout, then left.
Troopers were given a copy of the trespass records from Walmart then proceeded to Edwards’ residence.
Once there, Edwards denied being at the Walmart but eventually admitted to being at the store. She told police she bought milk and cheese and did not steal anything.
Because she was on probation, Edwards was taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail. She now faces trespass charges.
