UNDATED – A new piece of legislation introduced aims to expand penalties for sharing explicit images.

If approved, House Bill 2252 would make sure people who unlawfully share intimate images can be held accountable regardless of their relationship to the victim, with penalties increasing based on the harm caused.

This bill would also expand penalties for those who create explicit materials that contain a child.

The Bill is currently sitting at the state Senate for review.
