UNDATED – Congressman Glenn “GT” Thompson is supporting an effort to recognize National Hazing Awareness Week.
The legislation would recognize the week of September 21st as National Hazing Awareness Week to help spread awareness on how hazing continues to cause serious injuries and deaths among college students
This goes off of the federal Stop Campus Hazing Act, introduced in 2024, it was influenced by the death of Penn State student Tim Piazza, who died during a fraternity hazing incident in 2017.
