LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP – The Lawrence Township supervisors are moving forward with steps to dissolve the Clearfield Regional Police Department, while still keeping the door open for negotiations.
At Tuesday’s meeting, the supervisors voted to begin the process of restructuring their police coverage.
This move comes as Clearfield Borough voted to separate from the merged department at the end of 2025.
While the Township is taking their first steps to dissolve the department, they are leaving communications open to save the Clearfield Regional Police Department.
