JAY TOWNSHIP – A bridge in Jay Township will soon have a new name honoring the area’s World War 2 veterans.
The Route 255 bridge going over Kersey Run will be renamed as the Weedville World War 2 Memorial Bridge.
State Representative Mike Armanini says that historians believe around 76 people from Jay Township served during the war.
Signage is currently being produced to commemorate those who served.
