DUBOIS – You are invited to the DuBois City Park this Saturday for the Kick the Stigma event, focusing on mental health, awareness, support, and family fun.

This free event runs from 9am to 5pm featuring food trucks, live music, speakers, kickball and pickleball tournaments, face painting, basket raffles, and activities for everyone to enjoy.

Board member Shane Ellis says that this event helps break down the stigma surrounding mental health and reminds people that they are not alone.

“We all struggle. It’s very individualized. Just because I deal with trauma or depression or anxiety a certain way does not mean everybody does, and it’s okay,” explained Ellis. “There’s help out there for you.”

More information can be found through the event’s website.
