DUBOIS – City of DuBois officials say that you are currently receiving accurate water meter readings, but several meters are aging and need to be replaced.
Since the beginning of the year, residents have been questioning city leaders about the increase in water bills and the difference in how billing works.
The city currently bills by the thousand gallons used, and officials say replacing the aging meters to get precise readings across the system could cost millions of dollars.
Officials also said your bill reflects the amount of water you use, and you are not being overcharged.
