CLARINGTON – Three men have been jailed after allegedly breaking into the abandoned Wet and Wild Amusement Park and stealing a vehicle and other park items.

On May 16th state police began an investigation after the owner of the abandoned amusement park reported multiple items were taken including a 1999 Chevrolet Van.

Police discovered the van at Triple S Recycling with the VIN number removed. Police then spoke to 37 year-old Jeremiah Hinderliter, who allegedly brought the van to the scrap yard, where he denied the theft at the time.

Police searched the property where they allegedly discovered multiple items taken from the park.

On July 28th, Hinderliter allegedly admitted to the theft, stating that 36 year-old Joseph Gallo and 27 year-old Riley Kean were also involved in the theft.

All three have been sent to the Jefferson County Jail where they face multiple felony theft charges.
