UNDATED – A new piece of legislation, if approved, would help protect your personal and medical information from cyberattacks in rural hospitals.
The Rural Hospital Cybersecurity Enhancement Act, introduced by Congressman Glenn “GT” Thompson, would help hospitals develop cybersecurity training programs, educate staff, and strengthen their defenses against hackers.
Thompson says that this bill would give rural hospitals the tools they need to better protect patient records.
