CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield teacher is facing several charges after being accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a high school student.
On June 4th police received a tip that 37 year-old John Chelednik of DuBois had allegedly kissed a student on the last day of school.
When questioned, the female student stated she became close with Chelednik after a breakup before things became weird. She also explained that he allegedly followed her home and kissed her again against her will.
Police say messages between the two became inappropriate and sexual in nature.
He is now facing felony school-intercourse/sexual contact with students, corruption of minors, and unlawful contact with a minor.
