PUNXSUTAWNEY – Police are warning you about a false email scam.
Police say that a Punxsutawney victim had opened an unknown email that would not start up properly showing a message to call Microsoft at (804)214-6870.
A search of the number revealed this number was associated with a known scam, claiming to be Microsoft or the IRS wanting your information.
Police say to always contact your local authorities if you receive any suspicious messages.
