JEFFERSON COUNTY – The Jefferson County Coroner’s office is warning you about the dangers of cold exposure.
This warning follows a recent investigation into a hypothermia death in Jefferson County.
According to the Coroner’s office, cold related deaths can be preventable, you can dress in multiple layers and ensure your home is properly heated.
Another way to help is to check in on elderly neighbors and to seek help if someone seems disoriented, lethargic, has slurred speech, or seems unusually cold.
