UNDATED – Fire Prevention Week has now kicked off, and officials would like you to “Charge into Fire Safety” and focus on lithium-ion batteries.
Officials want to warn you to make sure your devices are charged properly on a hard surface and never overcharged, also make sure to unplug your charger once done.
They also warn you to recycle your batteries as improper discarded batteries can spark fire.
