UNDATED – A new piece of legislation, if approved, would split when rifle deer season would start in the Commonwealth.
House Bill 1659 would allow northern counties to start rifle hunting the Monday after Thanksgiving, with a cutoff around I-80.
This year’s hunting season will go from Saturday November 29th through Saturday December 13th.
