Congressman Thompson Highlights Agriculture, Rural Investment at DuBois Chamber Luncheon

Congressman Glenn “GT” Thompson visited DuBois on Thursday, speaking at the Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce luncheon at the DuBois Country Club. Thompson, who serves as Chair of the House Agriculture Committee—the first Pennsylvanian to hold the position in more than 170 years—shared updates on his work in Washington.

He praised the region’s hospitals, small businesses, and Pennsylvania’s top industry: agriculture, which he called vital to food, rural, and national security.

Thompson also highlighted the recently passed “One Big Beautiful Bill,” legislation he says delivers historic investments in agriculture, small businesses, workforce development, and long-term tax relief for rural communities.
