RIDGWAY — A 30-year old Elk County man has been charged with aggravated arson and reckless endangerment for allegedly starting an apartment building fire in Ridgway last week.
Ridgway Police report that Seth Rung had locked himself in his Main Street apartment and was yelling while swinging what appeared to be a large knife. When State Police troopers arrived on scene, an orange glow was seen in Rung’s second floor room. Soon, flames were quickly growing out of control.
Police were able to evacuate Rung, and six other tenants from adjacent apartments in the same building.
Rung is being held in the Elk County Jail with his bail set at $250,000.
