DUBOIS – DuBois Council members and Sandy Township Supervisors took an inside look into how Downtown DuBois is leading change in the heart of the city.

From entrepreneurial sheds to a lighted walkway and an open air amphitheater, plans are in motion to transform these vacant lots into vibrant community space.

DuBois Mayor Pat Reasinger is looking forward to what the downtown has to offer.

“Things are going pretty well, and they have three good plans going,” explained Mayor Reasinger. “I hope they all follow through.“

As for Sandy Township Supervisor Mark Sullivan echoed that hope, especially as the city moves towards consolidation.

“I think that’s something that’s needed in the city,” stated Sullivan. “I’m hoping that the new city will be able to support them financially.”
