Consolidation Countdown: The Primary Election

DUBOIS – The Consolidation of the City of DuBois and Sandy Township is less than a year away, as we approach that deadline we are having our Consolidation Countdown, giving you all of the information you need to know.

Dave Glass with the Clearfield County Board of Elections confirmed to us that 13 individuals have submitted their petitions to the elections office to be in the running for the new City of DuBois Council.

Those individuals are Barry Abbot, Randy Beers, William Beers Jr., Blane Clark, Shirley Dahrouge, Samuel Mollica III, Patrick Reasinger, Mark Sullivan, Devon Vallies, David Volpe, and Richard Whitaker will be on the Republican ballot. Melissa Keen and Michael Piccirillo will be on the Democratic ballot for this important electron.

“When you look at the number of our constituents in our county that this effects, it’s give or take about a quarter of them,“ explained Glass. “So it’s a big change.”

The primary election is on May 20th, which will set the seven Republican and two Democratic candidates that will be on the November 4th primary election ballot.
