CLEARFIELD – The Republican Candidate for U.S. Senate Dave McCormick stopped in Clearfield during his final campaign push Friday afternoon, where he touted what he could do if elected.
Dozens turned out to Grice’s Gun Shop to hear from the candidate and other elected officials, including State Representatives Mike Armanini, Dallas Kephard and Congressman Glenn “GT” Thompson.
McCormick spoke on a variety of topics, including the border crisis, wasteful spending, the fight against drugs, and other topics that plague our area.
“We need to have economic policies that help small businesses, help families to be able to be successful,“ explained McCormick. “We’ve had a real failure under President Biden, and Bob Casey has voted every step of the way. And then this border crisis, that affects all of Pennsylvania. The fentanyl killed 4,000 Pennsylvanians last year, a lot of it in rural communities like this.”
This election, McCormic is going up against Democrat Bob Casey Jr, who has held the State Senate Seat since 2007.
