DUBOIS – In an effort to keep safety a top priority, the City of Dubois has received a grant with the aim of improving public safety.

The three year grant, provided through PennDOT will allow law enforcement to take an active approach when enforcing public safety.

According to the Police Chief Shawn McCleary, their top priority is keeping everyone safe

“That grant is for enforcement of aggressive driving, DUI patrols, impaired driving,“ explained Chief McCleary. “Also is occupant protection and pedestrian safety.”

Ultimately, officers will now be able to focus strictly on traffic enforcement.
