ST. MARYS – A 42-year-old Elk County man is behind bars facing charges of assaulting a woman in a St. Marys apartment.
According to police, Colin Layne is accused of escalating an argument with the victim, grabbing her by the throat, and throwing her to the ground. St. Marys Police report that two witnesses back up the victim’s account of what happened.
Layne was arrested and lodged in the Elk County Jail. His bail is set at $25,000.
