BROOKVILLE – Theft and disorderly conduct charges have been filed against a Brockway man for allegedly stealing items from a truck stop the same day he was set free from jail.

State Police report that 34-year-old Jesse Park had just been released from the Jefferson County Jail, and he walked to a truck stop along Route 28 in Pine Creek Township. While waiting for his girlfriend to pick him up, Park allegedly stuffed eight knives and a lighter into his pockets.

Park was arrested and arraigned on the charges, but he did not have to go back to jail since he posted his bail of $1,000.

A note on the police report indicated that Park has been found guilty of retail theft twice before, in 2012 and in 2015.
