ST. MARYS – Assault and weapons charges have been filed against an Elk County man after his involvement in a St. Marys street fight last week.
According to court documents, 19-year-old Beau Azzato is accused of using bass knuckles to punch a man in the head multiple times.
The victim, who was treated for his injuries at Penn Highlands Elk, claimed Azzato attacked him along North Michael Street Thursday afternoon. Officers with the St. Marys City Police say the incident was caught on surveillance cameras and confirm the account given by the victim.
Azzato is being held in the Elk County Prison with his bail set at $25,000.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 14th.
