CLEARFIELD – A former police officer who pleaded guilty to shooting a man at Invictus in DuBois last year was sentenced to county jail time.

On Wednesday, 28-year-old Zachery Dodson was sentenced to serve up to two years in either the Jefferson County or Clarion County Jail, followed by eight years of probation. Also part of Dodson’s plea agreement is that he will never be allowed to serve as a law enforcement officer or possess a firearm.

Prior to last February’s shooting, Dodson had been a Curwensville Borough Police officer, and a deputy sheriff with the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Department.
