CLEARFIELD — A 45-year-old DuBois man who pleaded guilty to burglary and theft charges has been sentenced to a maximum of three years in state prison.
According to court documents, Chester Shugerts received a sentence of six months to three years, and an order to pay over $1,000 in restitution to the victims.
DuBois City Police say surveillance footage showed Shugerts and a woman, Jessie Watson, breaking into a variety store on West Long Avenue in September. THC gummies and rolling papers were reportedly stolen by Shugerts and Watson.
Court documents indicate that Watson was also charged for her alleged involvement in the break-in, but the case against her has not yet been resolved.
