DuBois man charged for fighting, assaulting another man with an axe handle

WINSLOW TWP. – Police arrested a 67-year-old DuBois man after they say he assaulted another man with an axe handle during an argument in Jefferson County.

According to court documents, Lamont Marshall struck the victim in the head, and caused a laceration. The police report says that Marshall was initially arguing with the victim’s wife after she refused to give him a ride home. The victim approached Marshall, and the two started fighting.

Marshall fled the scene but was later found in Sandy Township.

Marshall was arraigned on simple assault and harassment charges and then was freed on $20,000 unsecured bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 6th.
