CURWENSVILLE – A Clearfield County man is behind bars, and he is facing multiple charges of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
State Police have filed sexual assault, indecent assault, and corruption of minors charges against 47-year-old Robert Mallon III of Curwensville.
According to court documents, Mallon requested nude photos from the victim and then lured her from her home for sex. Troopers allege that Mallon initiated contact with the girl through a messaging app, and he eventually convinced her to meet him earlier this month. Mallon is accused of sexually assaulting the teen inside his truck.
Mallon is being held in the Clearfield County Jail with bail set at $500,000. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
