PUNXSUTAWNEY — A 25-year-old Punxsutawney man is facing corruption of minors and attempted sexual assault charges for allegedly sending explicit messages to an underage girl.
According to police, David Huey sent sexual pictures and a video of himself to a decoy working with the 814 Pred Hunters child protection group. But Huey allegedly thought he was messaging a 14-year-old girl.
Police say Huey tried to make arrangements to meet up with the decoy for sex at a Punxsutawney Playground on New Year’s Eve.
A preliminary hearing for Huey is scheduled for today. He is being held in the Jefferson County Jail with bail set at $50,000.
