SANDY TWP. – The Sandy Township Supervisors and Municipal Board reorganized for the new year at a Tuesday night meeting.
Mark Sullivan was chosen as board chairman, and Sam Mollica will be vice chairman. Theresa Bracken will be secretary-treasurer through 2024, and Shawn Arbaugh continues on as township manager.
During the public comments portion of the meeting several remarks were made about the township’s ordinance establishing a Sandy Township Fire Chief and Assistant Chief. Both positions were recently approved and reinstated. Some members of the township’s four fire departments have expressed their interest in seeing a board of directors or a leadership group to create greater accountability.
