REYNOLDSVILLE – A 48-year-old Reynoldsville man is behind bars, charged with five felony counts of corruption of minors.
According to court records and the Reynoldsville Borough Police, Norman Thomas allegedly sent sexually explicit messages and pictures, and tried to solicit sex from someone he thought was a 15-year-old girl. Thomas was actually communicating with a decoy from the 814 Pred Hunters child protection group.
Court documents indicate that Thomas sent multiple inappropriate pictures and messages between October and November, and tried to arrange a meeting for sex.
Thomas is being held in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $70,000 bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday.
