CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield County man will serve up to 31 years in state prison after being convicted of rape and other sexual assault charges.
On Friday, according to court documents, 54-year-old Douglas Albert of Curwensville received a sentence of 15 and-a-half to 31 years of prison time, 11 years of probation, and an order to complete sex offender counseling.
Albert was accused of raping a woman who was asleep in a neighbor’s home in 2021. His two-day jury trial was concluded in September.
While he was determined to not be a sexually-violent predator, Albert was still ordered by Judge Paul Cherry to register with authorities under Megan’s Law.
