DUBOIS – As federal fraud and conspiracy charges move forward against Herm Suplizio, the DuBois Area United Way maintains that the organization has cooperated fully in the investigation of its former director.
In a prepared statement released Thursday by Solicitor David King, the DuBois Area United Way Board of Directors claims a high degree of certainty that they were not a victim of any alleged criminal conduct by Suplizio. The statement goes on to say that the DuBois Area United Way is not mentioned in any of the five criminal counts contained in the Suplizio federal indictment, and they are highly certain that no funds are missing from its financial accounts.
Director of the DuBois Area United Way, Neil Hanes, said the organization’s “devotion has always been and will continue to rest on the 22 member agencies that we partner with in impacting the lives of some 20,000 community members.”
