CLEARFIELD – Felony contraband charges have been filed against a 29-year-old Clearfield County woman for trying to sneak drugs into the Clearfield County Jail.
Police report that Cassidy Bowman of Glen Richey was carrying a plastic bag containing 15 Xanax pills in her sock. Bowman had been arrested on warrants and was taken to the jail in September. Bowman repeatedly denied having anything illegal on her person while she was being searched at the jail.
According to court documents, Bowman waived her right to a preliminary hearing last week. She is lodged in the Clearfield County Jail with bail set at $50,000.
Bowman is also facing various charges in Centre County where she has a preliminary hearing scheduled for December 6th.
