DUBOIS – There’s still another three or four days to go in approaching the busy intersection of Route 255 (the Bee-Line Highway) and Shaffer Road in DuBois, with some extra caution.
The traffic lights at that intersection will be flashing red until at least Thursday. A crash damaged the signal controller cabinet, and PennDOT says Thursday is the earliest it can be fixed.
The intersection should be treated as a four-way stop until the new controller is installed.
PennDOT officials also say the controller cabinet operates the flashing lights at the railroad crossing, so they are not functional until the repairs are complete.
Stop signs have been set up at all four points of the intersection.
