CLEARFIELD – One windmill “superload” each day, Tuesday through Thursday, may cause traffic delays for you in Clearfield County this week. The slow-moving, over-sized transports are scheduled to roll through on the area’s major roadways.
According to PennDOT, windmill power train sections will be moved Tuesday and Thursday, with a tower casing section being transported on Wednesday. Each of the loads will be travelling the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 from Falls Creek Exit 97 to Clearfield Exit 120. The three loads will then travel onto Route 879, Route 322, and Route 153. Each of these upcoming loads will make a wrong way maneuver on the Clearfield Bypass.
Windmill parts and supplies are being moved from the Port of Erie to a location near Tyrone.
