Lawrence Township, PA – A Clearfield County man was arrested for attempting to flee from police twice, once those those times after he had already been caught and was waiting on a blood draw.

It started when Lawrence Township Police attempted to pull over 33-year-old Robert Runyan from Glen Richey for a traffic violation along Clearfield-Shawville Highway on Sept. 4.

He attempted to flee on Baney Road, but it was a dead end.

Runyan reportedly got out of his vehicle, fled through the woods behind the 879 Sheetz near Clearfield, and was eventually caught.

Runyan was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance and wanted by multiple law enforcement agencies.

Runyan was taken to Penn Highlands for a blood draw. However, while he was at the hospital, Runyan allegedly fled from hospital security and was caught again by police along Rockton Mountain Highway.

Police later searched his vehicle and also found suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia.

Runyan is being held at the Clearfield County Jail, and criminal charges are pending at this time.
