DUBOIS – A special tribute to America’s veterans will be part of this year’s DuBois Community Days.
The Military Order of the Purple Heart is bringing a replica of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to the DuBois City Park during Community Days.
DuBois Mayor Barry Abbot tells us that the memorial will arrive on Friday afternoon and be welcomed with a ceremony featuring an honor guard, 21 gun salute, and the playing of Taps.
“I invite everybody coming out to the beginning of Community Days to be aware of that program and be respectful of what is going to happen,” explained Mayor Abbot.
The replica honors unidentified American service members who were killed while serving.
