SUMMERVILLE – A Summerville man has been jailed after allegedly stealing a safe full of money.
On September 7th police responded to reports of a theft at a Heathville Ohl Road residence in Beaver Township.
Once on scene the victim told police she believed 45 year-old Robert Woods stole a safe containing nearly $100,000 dollars while she was in Florida.
She also had messages where Woods allegedly admitted to taking the money to pay off drug debt.
Police then searched Woods’ residence where they allegedly found the safe and suspected drugs.
Woods was then taken to the Jefferson County Jail where he faces felony burglary and theft by unlawful taking charges
