Police Warn of Aggressive Driving Habits

UNDATED – State police are warning that your daily drive may be more dangerous as aggressive driving continues to fuel serious crashes.

Trooper Jake Rhymestine told us that officers are cracking down on speeding, tailgating, unsafe lane changes, and other reckless driving behaviors.

“Our goal is to reduce crashes, prevent injuries, and make Pennsylvania’s roadways safer for all motorists,” explained Trooper Rhymestine. “Give yourself extra time when you’re trying to get to those specific locations. I know speedometers go quite high nowadays, we don’t need to get them that high.”

Officials say that aggressive driving contributed to over 60% of crashes in Centre County last year

To help combat this trend, officers are stepping up enforcement through August 16th, targeting this driving habit.
