CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough’s Mayor and a Council Member are resigning following alleged threats sent to elected officials.
Mayor Mason Strouse announced his resignation in a Facebook post Wednesday night, saying repeated hostility toward borough leaders and their families for the possible dissolution of the Clearfield Regional Police Department has gotten out of hand.
He also said this decision was due to the lack of support from local law enforcement, the District Attorney, and other officials.
This comes after Councilman Dennis Biancuzzo’s resignation for similar reasons.
