BROOKVILLE – If you’ve ever said there’s nothing to do in Brookville, the Chamber of Commerce has a response.

Executive Director Jamie Popson told us that the community offers plenty of events and activities, but you need to support them and get involved.

“I like looking at the next generation getting the kids involved in the community getting them excited about living here and kind of fighting that stigma that there’s nothing to do here,” explained Popson. “If you have these events in your community and you’re not supporting them, you can’t complain that there’s nothing to do.” “

She points to events like Food Truck Mondays, the BBQ Bash, community festivals, and other activities to bring people together.

Popson also says that volunteers are always needed and believed the younger generations participation is key to keeping the community alive.
